Q: Who/what is Faeriecat?
A: Faeriecat is a one person fashion label, based in Germany.
Q: What does “Faeriecat” mean and why this name?
Faeriecat is a creature out of the celtic mystery. It's similar to my former Name “Morgaine La Chatte”, a combination of cat and fairy. I chose the old way of writing fairy a a reminiscent to the old myths. I think it matches the the dreamy, pagan and (dark-) romantic style of my label.
Q: Do you have an online shop? www.faeriecat.com
(I do have a shop on Dawanda as well, but it's not stocked up as regularly as my own shop http://de.dawanda.com/shop/MorgaineLaChatte (it still has its old name as its really difficult to change the name there and I at the moment don't really see my future with Dawanda.)
And I recently opened a shop at etsy
Q: Can I have a piece made in my made-to-measure / bespoke / in another colour / other length etc ?
A: I'm currently not available for made-to-measure or bespoke orders, but I offer the option of different lengths or colours for some of my items. At the moment my time is too limited for custom orders as I'm travelling quite a lot, doing photo shoots, shows and so on. Thank you for your understanding!
Q: Can I bring an own design? Can I bring a picture or a pattern for you to make?
Please don't. Faeriecat will only sell its own designs. For me it's just not challenging to do the tailors work. I'm a designer not a seamstress or tailor!
Q: I'm a model/photographer/stylist/makeup artist/performer, can we work together?
A: Feel free to contact me! Please give me as much information as possible, including shooting dates, locations and models size. I also need a link to your current portfolio to get an impression of your work. Please contact me via email or my contact form at the website. I'm very limited available for this, but you can always ask!
Q: I'm a model/performer/artist, can you sponsor me?
A: Yes of course! But due to obvious reasons I'm doing this only with very popular people with an approriate fan base.

Those words "For me it's just not challenging to do the tailors work. I'm a designer not a seamstress or tailor! " are a precise reason why I gave up on doing fashion design. For some reason, people love to treat us as seamstresses and do not appreciate the art of design and the joy of creating something.... Thank you for saying it!
